To receive a Master of IT Management, students must complete twelve units in total. This will consist of eight core units and four units from one of our specialisations: Business Administration or Project Management.
In the Data Management unit, you will gain an overall understanding of database concepts and theory.
The Emerging Technology in Business unit explores how innovative technologies influence and shape future business environments, and the role technologies play in society.
The Information Systems Analysis and Design unit explores in-depth the techniques, tools and methods behind information systems.
Develop the ability to successfully identify business security threats, as well as managerial solutions with the Information Systems Security Management unit.
Develop a working knowledge of IT within business settings and analyse operations effects with the Managing Digital Enterprise unit.
Explore Managing Information Systems from a managerial point of view.
The Industry Research Project is a two-part unit, involving a literature review, and strategic research and data collection methods to fill in any identified research gaps.

We know that plans change, which is why we’ve built flexible completion options into the online MITM. If you need to exit early, you could still receive a Graduate Certificate in IT Management or Graduate Diploma in IT Management.

Our Master of Information Technology Management is designed to build on the technical skills you have now, and blend that with the management and leadership skills you need.
Units in information systems management and design will develop your skills in analysis, feasibility and enterprise security, while specific units selected from our online MBA develop your capacity to manage and lead people and projects to success.
Each unit runs for seven weeks, with six study periods per year. To gain your Master of IT Management you will complete all 8 core units, and choose 4 units from either the MBA specialisation or Project Management specialisation.
There is also an option to finish earlier with a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma.
