Start here

Complete the below steps before your study period begins.

All key dates, including commencement, census and grade publication are outlined in our Academic Calendar.

  • Familiarise yourself with MySCU, the hub for all official communication. All future correspondence will be sent to your SCU student email, so it's essential to access and check it regularly.

  • How to find your email address: Within two business days of registering for units, your SCU email and username will be available via MyEnrolment. Log in with your student ID and password, then select the 'MySCU Details' tab. If your details don’t appear within two days, contact the Technology Service Desk via email at servicedesk@scu.edu.au or phone on 1800 724 357.

  • Logging In: Access your email through the 'Current Students' page by selecting 'Student email,' or go directly to: email.scu.edu.au.

  • Enrolled students can view course enrolment and all invoiced debts in MyEnrolment.

  • Generate and pay invoices via: MyEnrolment > Finance > Enrolment Debt Transactions > Generate Invoice.
You may be eligible to defer tuition and SSAF fees via FEE-HELP or SA-HELP.
    1. To apply: Log in to 'MyEnrolment' and select 'Commonwealth Assistance'.
    2. Click 'Add New' next to your course.
    3. Select 'Complete Form' for FEE-HELP or SA-HELP.
    4. Submit the form.
    Repeat for each assistance type.

  • Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF): SSAF is a compulsory fee supporting non-academic services. Some students may be exempt — check fee schedules. If eligible, defer via SA-HELP or pay upfront by the due date. Unpaid balances after the census date will be deferred to SA-HELP.

  • Questions? Review the FAQ page for further details on invoices and payments.

Your SCU Student ID Card grants access to the library, computer labs, printers, and ULANZ university facilities across Australia and New Zealand with proof of enrolment. Your card also provides global discounts on entertainment, food, travel, flights, public transport, and retail. You can request your Student ID Card online via the MySCU.

Make sure you have the resources you need. Check your unit webpage for textbook updates two weeks before each study session. For guidance, reach out to your Student Success Advisor.

Borrow books from nearby universities through University Libraries of Australia and New Zealand (ULANZ). To register, provide your student ID and proof of enrolment to the host university. Note that ULANZ membership is separate from SCU, and local rules or fees may apply—confirm details with the host institution.

Your Student Success Advisor will contact you to discuss your goals and help craft a personalised study plan. Missed the call? No problem—reschedule easily here and get back on track!

Our Inclusion Support services are designed to ensure that students with disabilities, medical conditions, or other specific learning needs have equal access to educational opportunities and campus life. Please submit any requests at least two weeks before your first study period begins. Reach out to your Student Success Advisor to find out more about Inclusion and Support.

All SCU students must complete this mandatory module during their first study period. It covers five topics on academic honesty, and you’ll need to score 90% or higher on the final quiz to pass and receive your certificate. It takes 1-2 hours and is essential for understanding how to properly cite sources and avoid plagiarism. All SCU researchers, teachers and students are expected to act with honesty and integrity. Be sure to review this policy and abide by it.
