This interactive and engaging keynote presentation will focus on the big “what’s next” question, understanding the importance of having a clear vision of where you want to go, based on the idea that our values and beliefs can drive the best outcome. Underpinning this will be the crucial piece of being human, that is our sense of self and social awareness or emotional intelligence, and how to build on it to for future success. Maria’s presentation will be filled with personal stories of overcoming challenges and the key steps she took to make life work for her whilst also drawing on key research about how humans think, behave, change and succeed.

About the Speaker – Maria Smith

Maria Smith is a way finder. She believes that everything is possible when you have a way finder by your side.


As the CEO and founder of Bounce Australia and Bounce USA, a multi-award-winning organisation, Maria understands the complexity and challenges that people face on their life’s journey and how easily they can lose their way. For over a decade she has been delivering soft-skills, employability skills and job readiness training to the long-term unemployed, as well as professional development to consultants and leaders within the employment services sector in Australia and internationally.

She connects people with their purpose and passion – empowering them to listen to their heart and live their lives from there. Her workshops and presentations are profound and powerful, always leaving you wanting more.

Maria is a Southern Cross University graduate, holding a Bachelor of Social Science and Counselling Psychology degree – and is also a current SCU Online MBA student.
